cut-e white paper on cheating in unsupervised online assessment

Today’s psychometric tests prevent candidates from sharing answers to question items by adapting to their responses. These psychometric tests feature question items that are randomly generated or randomly chosen from large item banks and can be dependent on the provided responses.

It is still, however, possible for a candidate to receive assistance from others or to ask someone to complete the psychometric test on their behalf when such tests are remotely conducted. An advisable response to reduce such ‘cheating’, is to retest candidates and substantiate their scores in a supervised environment.
