Employee Onboarding

While training and onboarding are not the only exercises that prepare an employee for their job, they are both fundamental for employee engagement, performance and retention. Maren Hogan (Forbes, 2015) indicates that new hires will not make it past the first few months without training or onboarding. The first ninety days are ideal to introduce new hires to their colleagues, share expectations, and help them understand the values of the company. If executed well, onboarding will accelerate the time it takes to be productive and will impact positively on the ROI for the company.
